Pi Chis

What is a Pi Chi?
Recruitment is an exciting time, yet it can also be very emotional. At the beginning of Recruitment, you will be assigned a Panhellenic Counselor, also known as a Pi Chi. She is prepared to help you in any way- even with questions about campus and classes. Your Pi Chi is a member of a sorority, but during Recruitment, she is working for Panhellenic and for you. She has promised not to reveal her sorority affiliation in order to give you unbiased advice and to reduce the pressure you might feel if you knew which house was hers. Although it may be tempting to know what sorority your Pi Chi belongs to, please do not make efforts to find out her affiliation, and if you know which sorority your Pi Chi is from, please do not tell anyone else. She will reveal her affiliation when Recruitment is over. You will be able to identify the Pi Chis by the shirts they are wearing, as well as by their Pi Chi buttons. Your Pi Chi will explain the Recruitment process, answer any questions you may have and also help you with problems that may arise. You will meet with your Pi Chi twice daily to discuss what to expect each day, how each day went and to receive additional information as needed. Your Pi Chi is a resource for you, but most importantly she is a listener. Never hesitate to ask your Pi Chi anything. She is a vital link between you and the Greek Community. No matter what happens, if she ends up in the sorority you choose or not, you will have gained a trusted friend that you will cherish your entire college career!
