Panhellenic Principles
Guiding our Panhellenic Council at Georgia Tech
Mission: To create a positive, proactive framework for sorority excellence and achievement based on the values outlined in the Panhellenic Creed in order to reward and improve the management and quality of individual sorority chapters, making the Georgia Tech Panhellenic community a model for other schools to follow.
Goals:
1. To create a more positive, proactive approach toward promoting the values and ideals of Panhellenic and the respective chapters.
2. To create a framework where Panhellenic programming efforts help chapters meet and exceed their individual and national standards, guidelines, and expectations.
3. To eliminate judicial sanctions and fines from an inherently value based system.
4. To alleviate the time and resources spent by Panhellenic and individual chapters verifying, appealing, and punishing.
5. To move away from an individual focused value system toward a chapter oriented approach.
6. To standardize the Panhellenic award system.
7. To allow chapters to have more control over the specific areas they wish to excel in: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, or Greek Life.
