What is Homecoming, and how do Greeks participate?

Each year, during the week prior to the Homecoming football game, the Greek community celebrates homecoming with events including philanthropy, “Mock Rock,” Mini 500, Freshmen Cake Race and field events. Sororities and fraternities compete for points awarded for the participation in and the winning of events. In fall 2009, homecoming spanned the week of October 12th, culminating in the GT vs. VT game at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday, October 17th.
