Scholarship
How does being Greek influence scholarship at Georgia Tech?
The Georgia Institute of Technology has a strong tradition of high academic standards and achievement. As the members of Panhellenic, we believe that academic performance is not only an integral part of a Georgia Tech education, but also an important facet of sorority life.

Scholastic achievement is a central part of each chapter’s goals. Each sorority has its own unique way of encouraging and rewarding superior academic performance. Chapters, along with Panhellenic, sponsor various educational programs and awards. Programs may include time management and study skills seminars, scheduled study hours with free tutoring, organized study groups, and finals week study break parties. Panhellenic also funds an annual scholarship for sorority women to reward scholarship, leadership, and involvement with Panhellenic.

Sorority membership provides women with opportunities and benefits that last a lifetime. An atmosphere where women are both encouraged and rewarded academically has led sorority women at Georgia Tech to maintain an overall grade point average that is consistently higher than that of non-Greek women. As members of Panhellenic, we stand firm in our dedication to good scholarship and believe that educational success at Georgia Tech prepares women for personal and professional success to follow.
